Lambda for Startups
Up to $7,500 in credits
About this perk
Lambda is a GPU cloud platform for training, fine-tuning, and running inference on your own GPU instances. It helps startups move faster by launching Linux-based GPU VMs and scaling up to clusters when needed. Through XRaise, eligible startups can receive $7,500 in Lambda Cloud credits to offset GPU compute while building and testing AI workloads.
What You Get
$7,500 in cloud credits usable toward on-demand GPU instances.
Credits can be applied to inference workflows, and Lambda notes its Inference API is winding down while recommending model deployment on GPU instances.
Credits function as Lambda Service Credits toward future Lambda Cloud usage, are not redeemable for cash, and expire 12 months after issuance.
Eligibility
Why it matters for startups
Offsets early GPU spend so you can iterate on training and inference without paying full compute costs upfront.
Helps you plan runway with clear credit mechanics, including a defined expiration window.
Encourages cost discipline: on-demand instances bill in one-minute increments and continue billing while running, even if idle.
Use cases / best for
Teams prototyping and benchmarking models on on-demand GPU instances
Startups deploying self-managed inference on GPU VMs (especially as the Inference API winds down)
Workflows that need persistent storage hygiene and repeatable compute teardown to control spend
FAQs
It can be used toward on-demand GPU instances, and was also described as usable for inference via a serverless API endpoint in the original announcement. 2. Do credits expire? Yes. Lambda Service Credits expire 12 months after issuance. 3. Where can I check my remaining credit balance? Lambda says you can view it in the Lambda Cloud console under Settings > Billing, in the Credits section.
